Pumpkin Season in July

It’s a steamy day in late July, and I have Fall on my mind…what’s wrong with me?

Pumpkin season has begun, and I’m designing new ways to stop traffic at our Autumn Festival’s booth.

How can I make a pumpkin, “different”?

The struggle is very real.

This rag-wrapped pumpkin was fun and easy to make, though once I’ve made something, I no longer feel that it’s a “new” idea, therefore, not wanted.

All of my pumpkins are “rustic” by nature, made of old seed sacks, grain sacks, feed sacks, burlap, muslin, or wool, I enjoy the challenge of using what best compliments the primitive antiques we sell.

Here’s the thing…

This year, I told my husband I was “done, over it,” and the shock on his face made me reconsider. He just may be my biggest promoter, and fan.

I’m grateful for the support from our friends, customers and fellow vendors, but this year, I may have a different “look”, style or product all together, I think I need that challenge.

With that being said, I’m going to leave you hanging, wondering, while I figure it out myself! I have a few ideas, and will share when it’s closer to Festival time…
