Can you believe it’s New Year’s Eve today?
It always catches me by surprise somehow…. perhaps it’s the post-holiday need of a long Winter’s nap:)
Do you celebrate tonight, tomorrow, or not at all?
Years past, I’d dress to the nines for an occasional “fancy” party of dining and dancing, however, I’m now moving a bit slower, a lot wiser and cost-conscience, and I’ve grown to love that as well.
Tonight, my husband and I will stay in, we’ve invited friends for food, fun and football tomorrow, New Year’s Day, and I’m looking forward to it. The “food” will be easy, some hot and some cold dishes, snacks, an adult beverage or 2, or more, and a few desserts. I will not bring out Christmas cookies, believing that my friends have probably had their fill, I know I have.
Why football since this isn’t the Super Bowl?
You guys! We were born-n-raised in Indiana, the land of tall corn and great basketball (at the time), remember Bobby Knight with the flying chairs on the court? Yep, that’s Indiana University, who, by the way, is now HOT in football!
Indiana is playing tomorrow, and we will be glued to the tele…shouting, cheering and chewing at the same time!
However you celebrate, if you choose to do so, is fine with me, because we’re friends, right?
Right!
From my house to yours, I’m wishing you a new year filled with love, and laughter, with a heart filled with the blessings around us…
Blessings to you for a brand-new year,
xx,
