Recently, I saw a yellow kitchen with white stone countertops, while viewing a nearby Villa for Sale.
My heart nearly jumped out of my chest, I felt like I had landed in a Nancy Meyers movie set, all so warm, cozy, timeless and traditional!
I’ll bet you think we bought that house….
Sadly, no. Our offer was considered and countered but still couldn’t compete with a prior offer. I have to believe that there is a better house for us, waiting.
So, this is what I learned about myself…

In my home, I find that I add seasonal items to worn vintage goods, while using my favorite colors to tie it all together. It’s color that adds the “pop and sizzle” to every room of my home. A lack of color, or a concentration of soft neutrals is calming, but I’d still throw in a throw-pillow or rug with a serious burst of color!
I can’t help it!
Is it just me?
What “completes” a room for you?

This warm yellow color stole my heart, and I WILL use it in the next house, either a little somewhere, or everywhere…! It’s that good!
What do you use to “pull your rooms together?
Is it by color, texture, or patterns?
Your answer is your own version of how to create a house, any house, into a home.
As always, I’m so glad you’re here, and I’m excited to be able to share my new address, when we find it, with you. This may sound funny, if you don’t know me well, but I’m really hoping for a flawed house, structurally sound, but worn out and tired, left behind by a couple of decades of poor decor choices…, because this is where I love to be!
Cross your fingers, girlfriend, that I’ll soon be up to my elbows in paint and wallpaper paste!!! My happy place:)
Wishing you your own “happy place” kind of day,
xx,
I'd love to hear your sharings...
