Which month is your favorite?
If I had to guess your answer, I would associate the month with a special day or event in your life. Could it be December, because of Christmas, your birthday month, graduation, promotion, or wedding anniversary month…the list goes on and on…
We’re always looking for a reason, or an entire season to celebrate something, aren’t we?
I suppose a date of remembrance, of a time or a place, jolts us into realizing what’s most important in life, and then to sit down and really soak-in the “goodness” of it all.
October is in fact, one of my favorite months, and the time of year, as well. (Naturally, my main favorite is my birthday month, and believe me, I celebrate the entire month!)
October begins the “changing” of the season into Autumn, and there lies its purpose and value. The sun will still shine, though it’s warmth fades as the day slips away, the evening brings a drop in temperature and an increase in the value of sitting around a campfire, or wrapping yourself in a fuzzy, warm throw. Overhead, the stars pierce a dark, still sky, while a harvest-moon glows over fields yet to harvest, and I haven’t even mentioned the leaves yet…the miracle of grass-green leaves turning into shades of red, yellow, gold, orange and copper is beyond me!
October. is. glorious!
OK, speaking of October…
I just wanted to send a quick “hello” because I feel like I just don’t get to talk to you enough!
My letters to you, really ARE letters to you! I hope you’re reading along, following along, and still “hanging in there” with me! I can’t tell you how much I truly appreciate your presence here, your support (just by being here), and encouragement.
So, during this month/season of change, I’d like to change a few things here on the blog. I would like to know if there’s a subject/topic that you would like to hear more of, from me.
What would that topic be?
More home decor, remodeling tips and photos, crafts, recipes?
Free of charge!, I could throw in “flower arranging”, though it wouldn’t be pretty, that’s an area that I’m always trying to “perfect”. My friend, you can’t be all things to all people!
