Tell me, what do you love most about August?
August is still-summer almost-fall, and the temperatures are undecided as well,
But it’s a good time for reflection, isn’t it?
Think of how you spent your summer, and dwell on the best of it, not the crazy hot and cranky days, the busy days. Those days will pass and actually be missed, someday.
I personally feel Summer is always too short and passes quickly. I’m sad to see it go, though I love Autumn as well, so I guess I’m flexible, and happy until Winter. We’ll talk about Winter later:)
Very soon the kiddos will be going back to school, those yellow buses will be everywhere, so be aware and on the lookout!
Last minute travel? you still have a couple of weeks…
Still hot sun on our shoulders, the nights are starting to drop their temps a bit, the leaves are still hanging on to their branches (no raking yet), and a nightly bonfire is a must! Those are the best days…
As much as I love to travel, right now the roads and the airports are crazy crowded and hectic, so we’re avoiding travel for a couple of months.
What is it that you love or look forward to in August?
You’ll have to let me know, and we can compare lists…
Get the kids ready, pack up your new college freshman (that’s a tough one), buy those books, pay for those physicals, shoes, computers, all of it…and give yourself a pat on the back, and maybe a cocktail to go with it!
My friends, you’ll notice that August has been here for a day or two…and I thank you for not mentioning that…!
