Nothing smells better in the summer’s breeze than chicken on the grill…am I right?
Yes. Yes, I am.
Grilled chicken is everyone’s favorite meat to serve for dinner, at the lake cottage. Just look at the crispy, crusty skin soaking in a spicy BBQ sauce. “Yum” is the word, “More” is the request.
I’ll bet you didn’t know we were “bougie” like that!
I don’t know of anyone, child or adult, who has turned down or passed on a chicken leg or two for their plate. That being said, the icing on the cake (or leg) is a spicy, rich BBQ sauce straight from Texas.
I’d like to share the recipe with you…I thought of waiting until the July 4th weekend, but it’s so hot, it’s definitely time to fire up the grill and eat outside.
We do most of our grilling at the cottage, because it’s just us and we’re too tired to cook or go out, or we have friends and family over and chicken turns into an event!
Don’t forget “a cold one” to accentuate those spicy legs…it could be a sweet tea, lemonade, ice water, or even a cocktail of sorts.
Note: Generally speaking, lake-talk for “sauced” refers more to the “cold ones” or “cold many’s” than it does to BBQ sauce!!
You gotta try this!
AND you’re welcome:)
If you don’t see me here before the fourth, I’m still painting something at the cottage, and looking forward to hearing about those “saucy legs” of yours…
xx,
