How do you start your day?
When the alarm goes off I don’t exactly “jump” out of bed, but I do manage to exit-without-assistance and grab my fuzzy bathrobe! Now that I’m covered-in-cozy, I head for my coffee maker and make a whole pot, pretty much for myself! My husband joins me for a cup before he starts his day, but I linger in the kitchen and pour my second cup…slowly…both worried and impressed that he can start his day with only ONE cup of coffee!
Right now, the house is still quiet. Soon, I’ll begin to hear my husband making his early morning phone calls, as his workday begins. With my second cup of coffee in hand, I check my phone for messages that I missed, or new messages coming in that I need to return. Next, I’ll get my Instagram and Pinterest-fix, enjoying beautiful photos from my favorite sites. Truth be told, I still prefer flipping through magazines over holding a phone and looking at tiny squares… it. is. not. the. same.!
Who’s with me? Don’t you agree?
If so, I think we could be friends, and we could “do” coffee together!
Wouldn’t that be nice?
To share our morning, and our “to do” and “to do it later” lists with each other?
The idea is lovely, don’t you think?
Reality says that we haven’t yet met, so an early-morning FaceTime call may be a bit startling at first, and AWKWARD since I’m still wearing a bathrobe and have bed-head hair! I tell myself (to make me feel better), that you probably look the same, that we’ll be kind to each other, while avoiding direct eye contact, and not have “high” expectations right off the bat.
