Recently, I’ve seen various bloggers on Instagram do a post or a reel, just introducing themselves to any readers who may be new to their space.
What a great idea!
If I could do a “live” on this space, I would! There are so many new people here, that are sharing their days and time with me, and I am beyond grateful for you! How would you know that, without me saying so? I wish this was a video, I’m sure there’s a way to do that, but I am still technically challenged in so many ways, friends!
Are you?
I still call my granddaughters for advice on how to use my new iPhone correctly! Do you have a small child to turn to during these stressful moments?
I hope so!
Also, did you know that if you comment in the comment box provided, I can read that, and respond directly back to you. Amazing!!! Two-way communication and relationships are the best-way!
Well, that’s a lot of words used, without saying anything other than “Hello”!
In the beginning…. just kidding!
On my blog, I’ve shared several past experiences that shaped my life, in a new way. My faith, personality and values never changed or waivered, but my appreciation and gratitude of life itself, of little moments, of love and laughter multiplied a thousand times over.
I’ve survived traumatic and life-altering surgeries, heartbreaking separations, divorce, being a single parent following divorce, finding or creating a career after years of staying home with my children. The only point in bringing that up is, that,
I survived.
I thrived.
I have re-created my life, the same way I re-create homes, one step at a time. Without changing the “foundation” that I stand on; I’ve expanded and utilized every square inch of my being. I’ve never been totally “demolished”, rather added on to, raised up, strengthened and supported by my loving Creator and with the love of my family.
Remarried, with a new family, I found myself in a new state, and in an historical home. Fifteen years later, I returned home to care for my aging and ill parents. Life has brought me full circle, as it does, and I am grateful.
So, what makes YOU happy?
On a day-to-day basis, what thrills your very soul?
I am over-the-top tipsy and giddy when it comes to all things “home”.
My “love language” consists of words like renovations, restorations, refreshes, design and decor, DIY and projects! All sweet music in my ears!
Through the years, I’ve also grown fond of hosting. Hospitality is an art, in my opinion, a creative endeavor centered on the comfort of others. If I can hang a beautiful wallpaper in my formal dining room, I can certainly create the event that happens within those four walls. I can set a beautiful table, and offer a meal created and designed to please! Hosting is a mindset that I had to grow into, and it took time, patience and practice. Opening my home to others, sharing a great meal with friends and family around my table, just brings out the Homemaker-Momma in me every time!
I have to say that there is TOO much of me for this space, friends!
