Tell me, what do you love most about August?
August is still-summer almost-fall, and the temperatures are undecided as well.
Before we jump into Autumn, hop on to the school bus, let’s take a moment to savor this day.
Think of how you spent your summer, and dwell on the best of it, not the crazy hot and cranky days, the too busy days. Very soon, those days will pass and actually be missed and referred to as a “memory”. Personally, I feel Summer is always too short and passes quickly. I’m sad to see it go, though I love Autumn as well, so I guess I’m flexible, and happy until Winter. We’ll talk about Winter later:(
Are your little ones back in school?
Very soon those yellow buses will be everywhere, so be aware and on the lookout!
Still hot sun on our shoulders, the nights are starting to drop their temps a bit, the leaves are still hanging on to their branches (no raking yet), and a nightly bonfire is a must! Those are the best days…
Are you taking a last-minute trip?
As much as I love to travel, right now the roads and the airports are crazy crowded and hectic, so we’re avoiding travel for a couple of months.
What is it that you love or look forward to in August?
You’ll have to let me know, and we can compare lists…
Get the kids ready, pack up your new college freshman (that’s a tough one), buy those books, pay for those physicals, shoes, computers, all of it…and give yourself a pat on the back, and maybe a cocktail to go with it!
By the way, August has been here for a week or two…and I thank you for not mentioning that…!
